I've integrated Business Central with the IOM environment that also contains the Sales app using BC's Dynamics 365 Sales integration assistant. The submit order button appears in the Sales App, but not in the IOM app. Clicking that button changes the Order status to "Submitted", which triggers Business Central to create the corresponding Sales Order Header for itself.
Any thoughts on this process for submitting an order to Business Central and whether it's compatible with IOM? In the Sales App when you click Submit Order, it changes the Order status to Submitted, and the record becomes read only. Should the Order status affect IOM, or are there any other gotchas or considerations you can think of when for designing the integration around submitting orders from IOM to Business Central?
Likely will use the IOM system to manage orders, fulfillment, and create invoices. Invoices will also synchronize over to Business Central. So IOM takes over all of the order fulfillment processing and invoicing. BC just sits there recording changes to inventory levels.
Hi Ryan, I am looking at integrating BC with IOM. As you have already done it, can you please give some pointers about what providers and connectors you had to create and what kind of orchestration is in place.
