Hello,

We use Dyn365 on-prem.

Is it possible to enable the features below in UI?

Advanced Find

Bulk edit

Merge records

Record sharing

Audit History

I'm aware that the features above are not available in Dyn 365 on-premises but may be there's a way to enable them?

Thanks

    Hi Kahspot,

Please check whether there is a setting of "Enable embedding of certain legacy dialogs in Unified Interface browser client" in the system settings.

If so, select Yes to enable them in the Unified Interface.

The option you mentioned is available in Hybrid but not in on-premise.

    Thanks

    Hi there

Yes. We had the same issue with a customer who we upgraded to version 9 D365 on-premise and moved to UCI. The issue here is that these features are not all available in UCI in D365 v9. They obviously became available in later versions (v9.1 onwards) but these versions are not available yet for on-premise. All these features are available for you if you use the web client instead of UCI but this is now deprecated and you should really move to UCI.

So the answer to this issue is that some of these features can be enabled in UCI D365 on-prem v9 and some can’t. We managed to get Advanced find to work but not sharing. For that, we did a small solution to overcome it. Not elegant but works. For other items such as audit history, bulk edit and merge records, I propose you create a new business App that is web client not UCI and give it to those users (typically admin/backend users) to allow them to merge and view audit.  Otherwise you may have to go down a custom route similar to what we did with Sharing but I wouldn’t recommend it unless it is absolutely a must like in our case.

Hope this helps. Please mark as an answer if it does.
