"Print acknowledgment receipt" Report is disabled

Dear

I have just created a Payment Journal and i want to print an acknowledgment receipt to give the customer but it is disabled , is there a setup i missed ?

why is it disabled ?

    We have some development with the above case,


    we tried to change the "Method of Payment" to PDC (which is in our case Post Dated Check) and it became enabled , now we got another error which said "Type Mismatch Report Parameter is of type string but Value is of Type Real" - Now this is not the issue

    the issue is if we select Method of Payment Cash , the "Print Acknowledgment Receipt" becomes disabled again although there isn't any difference between the Method of Payment PDC and CASH

    Your feedback is mostly appreciated

    That menu option is labelled 'Print issue receipt' in the copy of R3 I have (language en-us), but I assume it is the same option.

    If it were controlled by Country specific functionality, it would not be greyed out - you just wouldn't see it.

    As far as I can tell, to get that report enabled you need 'Enable postdated checks' ticked in Cash and bank management parameters. And then you need to specify a Method of Payment on the payment journal line which has 'Postdated check clearing posting' ticked.

    That explains how to get the report enabled. I too get the Type Mismatch error. I don't know the cause.
