Reverse an exchange adjustment in GL Ax 2009

Hello,

One of my clients ran an exchange rate adjustment on an account with mixed currencies. This was the first time she did it for this account since the start in 2011. She got very high adjustments and now wants to reverse this adjustment . Is it possible to do so?

Hello AnnGrev,

This should be possible.

Can you please identify the voucher that was generated when posting the Exchange rate adjustment.

Once you have the voucher select "revese transaction" and AX should undo the previous transaction.

Hello,

It is not possible to use Reverse Transaction for this kind of transaction unfortunately. I get a message saying that the transaction can not be reversed.

Hello AnnGrev,

Please double check whether or not the "correction" parameter is activated in your GL parameters. If it is activated and you are still not able to correct the transaction via the "reverse transaction" functionality, then probably the only way is doing a manual correction posting.

Hi Anna,

Indeed in AX2009 it is not possible. In AX 2012 RTM it was also not there. In an update this feature was added for AX 2012 (general ledger revaluation only).

You can consider a similar customization for AX 2009.
