Hi. I need to display a custom pop-up form on click of ribbon button to take inputs from user.
These inputs should interact with third party db to fetch values and display in current form accordingly , later to save in crm form also .
can we pop-up the aspx form to interact and run at server on button click ?? enlighten

You can create custom website and host it under ISV folder on same server where dynamics CRM hosted.
You can then use javascript on button click to open the aspx which you have hosted under ISV. Since you have hosted your website on same server so there won't be any CORS issue.
We have used this approach in previous project where we added custm aspx pages of form in iframe.
