Hi all,
We were inspired by iFacto's Source Control for NAV, and as our team is from a .NET background, we tried to implement TFS for NAV 2013 R2 for a large construction project. I would say, it was nearly 70% success and we couldn't use many of the advanced features in TFS, for example, Branching/Merging/Shelving. What we do with TFS currently is, writing user stories, assigning tasks, plan the burndown, and importantly to protect the source code since there are more than 4 developers working on the same project.
Now we are planning to implement NAV 2016 CU5 for a client, again coming from the construction industry. As there are new development areas like Plant and Equipment module and Production by Crushing module etc. we would like to use the Branching/Merging/Shelving features of TFS. Has anyone experience with this regard?
Thanks in advance.
