Hi there,
We have cleared out stock in one site within D365 and moved it to another site. However there are remaining balances that have been left behind in the old site that we want to write off.
How is this done?
Below is a snipit of 2 items that are showing values within the "Inventory value report storage". The boxes highlighted in green should be nil. Would I need to journal them out or run a system check?
It appears that these items have got stuck. They can't be counted on or off as we want the existing site to be nil.

Thanks for getting in contact.
We have moved the stock from one site to another. However with the move it has highlighted that some of the items hadn't been correctly picked onto jobs and therefore our inventory listing is showing a variance to the GL.
Physically these stock items have been used, but within D365 as they haven't been transacted properly they are still showing. We wanting to clear out these items to have our GL and inventory ledger align.
Hi Lachie,
What inventory costing method are you using? If it is not fixed price or moving average, you can run the Inventory closing job to check if there will be adjustments posted to clear any open financial value.
Hi Andre,
We are using FIFO. Have run the financial close and revaluation however the differences are still there.
Would you have any further suggestions if possible?
