how to setup fixed sales tax

Hi,

I have a situation where i want to set fixed sale tax amount say $5 on sales invoice irrespective of the sale invoice amount.

e.g. sales invoice amount $300 or any other dollar amount

I want charge fixed sales tax amount $5

so in this case total sale invoice amount after sales tax will be $305

this $5 sales tax will apply default for every customer.

How will setup sales tax code and sales tax group any help on this scenario.

    Hi Afazal,

    Why do you want this? which country calculate tax like this?

    IN EU and majority of countries calculate tax based on percentage, which you either decide on tax code values or some countries like India the tax is calculated from tax engine by the percentage.

    if this is at all required, I think you need to manually adjust the tax amount in "Actual tax" field in each transactions, if manual not fine, you need to customize the same.

    Did you try adding minimum & maximum Amount on Tax Value?

    TAX > Sales Tax Code > Value

    Hello Afazal,

    Which country/region requests, such a sales tax?

    What happens if you invoice amount is only $1? Would you still charge the $5 sales tax?

    What about credit notes with a negative invoice amount?

    Would be great if you could elaborate.
