Source Data Controlling Current Cost Field

I can see that the current cost field comes through a couple of temp tables.  Just not sure what actually controls the value. Is my assumption that the line item cost that is vouched from the payable invoice from the vendor is what is placed in the Current Cost field on the Item Master?

    The Current Cost is the price from the most recent receivings transaction.

    Thank you Ian. For clarity when you say Receivings Transaction you are referring to Vouchering the payable invoice matched to the PO receipt. Therefore the Current Cost is not what is on the PO when items physically received but rather the cost entered from the invoice from our vendor.

    Sorry if it is worded too much like pre-K but I am just getting my feet wet with GP.

    Hi Duffy,

    No, the current cost is updated when you receive the Shipment in Receivings Transaction Entry. It would also be updated when the Invoice is entered if the cost is different to the Shipment.
