Daily Exchange Rates

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm trying to create a report I can export into excel that lists the daily exchange rates that have been entered into a specific exchange rate table.  The one caveat is that I would like to be able to define the period (e.g., March 1 through March 31) prior to the export.  Any suggestions?  I'm able to export an exchange rate table, but it lists every single exchange rate since inception.  I want to be able to drill down to a single month in order to confirm the average exchange rate used to convert to a reporting currency in MR.  I also want to know this average exchange rate to use with my smartlist exports. Thanks in advance.  Paul

Hi Harry.  I'm still new to Dynamics GP.  Where do I access the fields you mentioned?  Thanks.

Hi Babu.  Unfortunately I can't seem to get access to the Dynamics GP server to test your suggestion.  I'll need to work with our network administrator to gain access.  I'll let you know if it works.  Thanks.

The data you're looking for is contained in the MC00100 AKA the Multicurrency Exchange Rate Maintenance - A System table.  The EXCHDATE and XCHGRATE fields likely contain the information you're looking for.  You should use the EXCHDATE field results to filter the data.

    Hi Paul,

You can do refreshable excel using the exchange table, and get the required data using pivot table option.
