Hi,
Need some help with this topic. The current process they are using to update purchase price or sale price is time consuming. Checking to see if they are other solutions available. Current all products needs to be stopped in order to update purchase price or sale price. They are using the data import export framework.
To update the new price and upload all the other products price in data import export framework. That means when we update even one price in AX, actually we have to work on ALL purchase price.
hi chrisfg77,
Not sure if i understand your issue based on information you have provided. Can you add bit more details. Are you just updating your prices in price tables OR you are updating the open PO's etc. In standard system, you can update one price, you don't have to update all prices.
I was able to get more information about the request they are asking.
1) if there is a way to update the Purchase Price for all items in the system. The new purchase price will appear on any new PO.
2) if there is a way to update the Sale Price for all items in the system. The new Sale Price will appear on any new Sale Order.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi chrisfg77,
Yes. Generally, if no trade agreement or sales (purchase) agreement is attached to the item, when the price is updated using the data import and export framework, the new price of all items can be obtained in the new PO and SO.

Was wondering if there is another way update the Purchase price and sale price. The current way using the data import and export framework is taking a while. The wanted to know if there is a better solution.
thanks,

Hi Chris F,
You can try to use Excel add-in function. Select the entity data source 'Released products V2' and needed field.
Then do modification and publish it.

Dear chrisfg77,
If you have DB access it would be very easy to do.
I would suggest try this in Dev server 1st.
1. Import new price with Item no and sales price and purchase price in DB directly
2. Update the InventTableModule(Purch).Price and InventTableModule(Sales).Price.
Please take help of developer if you don't have good understanding of SQL statements.
Hi, is there any possibility to update also the prices in already existing POs and SOs that are not yet invoiced?
