Removing Outstanding financial cost amount on a location with Zero Stock

Hey,

We have numerous pick locations (that are no longer used with this item) which has 0 Physical inventory Inventory but has either a negative or positive Financial cost amount remaining. 

This has occurred with items which were previously assigned the WAQ item group, however we have since run a inventory closing & converted all items to STD.

I thought the inventory closing would have cleared off these balances, however this is not the case. 

Any suggestions how to clear off the balance?

    Hi Mel,

    The inventory close did not fix your issue right? Have you tried making use of the adjustment functionality available in the inventory closing form?

    Hi Melissa,

    Do your items have 'Financial inventory' ticked on the 'Location' in the Storage dimension group setup? It is only really valid to look at financial inventory at the dimensions where 'Financial inventory' is ticked.

    Are these open financial amounts on locations causing a specific problem?

    Hey Ludwig,

    Unfortunately STD item model locks the cost value, so I cannot manually change it in any of the Item transaction journals.

    Hey Guy,

    I have been unable to locate where Financial Inventory would be enabled on the location.

    I have looked within various areas within - inventory & warehouse management/ Setup. Including - Setup/Inventory breakdown/ Inventory locations.

    Can you please point me in the direction where I would find this?

    Hi,

    It's on the setup of the Storage Dimension Group, which you'll find in the Product Information Management module.
