Custom form opens multiple instances when tabs are selected

Hello,

I have a custom form I created by copying and modifying SalesQuotationProjTable.  I removed the form pattern and made drastic changes to the form design.  The main think is that the "Tab" style is changed from "FasTabs" to "Tab" so that the tabs will display horizontally across the top of the form.   The form opens to the "overview" tab which has several child elements, mainly fast tabs containing grids.  When I click another table (i.e. general) the form displays various field groups as one would expect.  The issue is that If I click the "X" in the upper right to close the form while on a tab it takes me back to the previous tab instead of closing the form.

Has anyone see this behavior and / or know what causes it?

Regards,

Don Shields

    Hi Don,

The standard form might have the list page and details developed in a single form. A close will then bring the user back to the list page. You might have overlooked this. You can review coding/properties used or probably start with a new empty form instead of duplicating this one.

    Andre,

I think you are correct that the original form was a details and list page.  The real question is how to get rid of this behavior without having to create an entirely new form.  I have changed the form pattern to custom but still getting this behavior.

    Thanks,

    Don

    Hi Don,

Can you check if there is still some coding available on this form which is causing this behavior?

    Hello doninep,

That behavior drives from form pattern which is Details Transaction on this form, so it would be better you play with form pattern applying to your form. You are seeing the expected behavior as this form has two views (Grid and details)

I have removed the form pattern and applied the "Custom" form pattern but this behavior exists.
