FIXED ASSET: Account number for transaction type Ledger journal does not exist

Hello everyone,
I am trying to acquire a crespite manually from the fixed asset registration journal. On posting, the system gives this error:

- Account number for transaction type Ledger journal does not exist.

I checked the posting profiles setup and everything seems okay. What could be causing this problem?

This is a posting profile issue, please check the setup of the posting profile.

Hi Antonio,

Have you also checked if all ledger accounts used in the posting profiles are included in an active account structure for this legal entity?

I wonder why there is a message about sales tax. Is this journal including tax details to be posted?

Hi,

Can you please share the journal entry you are trying to post?

Also as everyone said you need to check posting profile has account mentioned for this group and book combination .

Also, posting profile is mapped on FA paameters

Hi,

Kindly check whether the journal you have selected belongs to Tax layer and the posting profile which is set up is based on Current layer or vice-versa. I mean to say that the asset may be associated with both tax layered book and current layered book. But the fixed asset posting profile is configured only for Current layer.

Hello Antonio,

Try to check these points:

1) Allow multiple acquisitions: Do not have a problem if you already did some entry

2) Select your posting profile: in the parameters

3) Check the accounting in the posting profile. The account should be in a valid structure inserted on the ledger configuration (probably the problem from here)

Hi,

Does this asset have one book or more than one.

In this case, you need to define offset account in the posting profile.
