Hi everyone,

just encountered this situation on a couple of items.

The InventTrans type is "Sales".

Is this standard behaviour? What does it could mean?

Thank you in advance

    Hi vv1984,

I would say there are no circumstances in standard AX where a record in InventTrans should have Issue and Receipt status both Blank (or zero, if you're looking in the database).

    Hi vv1984,

can you also find a reference in the inventory transactions? Probably these transactions are related to sales quotations.

I'm afraid that's not the case. The inventTrans records i'm observing are related to SalesLines which are still present in the ax table.. Could be that something went wrong while ax was changing their status from user interface? (nothing was done roughly by x++code or sql..)

I guess anything is possible, but it shouldn't happen. In AX 2009, the Inventory transaction has a direction field ('Other' tab -> 'In/Out'). If it's a normal Sales order line (i.e. not a return or a credit), the direction will be 'Issue' and the 'Issue status' field on the 'General' tab should have a value.

If you can reproduce exactly everything that has happened to the sales order line on another order, you may find a scenario which causes this to happen.

    Hi,

It also occurred to me that the Consistency check tool might cover this scenario. You can find it at Sys Admin -> Periodic -> Database -> Consistency check.

Run it for Inventory transactions, in 'Check' mode:

Depending on the number of Inventory transactions you have, it may take a long time to run. Try it in a test system first!
