Why Does Delivery Address Not Show Up When Trying To Create A Purchase Order In AX2012 R3?

The customer is on AX2012 R3, application version 6.3.2000.326.  Vendors have multiple delivery addresses set up.  However, when you try to select the "Pasadena" delivery address when you first create a purchase order, the delivery address does not show up under the "Delivery Address" on the PO header.  This is consistent for all vendors who have the Pasadena delivery address set up.

I am puzzled by this and wonder if it could be data corruption.  I have manually tried to delete the Pasadena delivery address and then re-add it, and it still does not show up when trying to create a PO.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Julie

    Hello,

What is the Purpose of the address? it should be 'Delivery'. And is this address set as Primary address?

    Thank you,

The purpose is set at "Delivery".  This is not set as being the "primary" address.

Well, since you are talking about Vendors and Purchase order, then how are you going to use the Delivery address?

Delivery address are used with Customers because you ship items for them.

Usually AX takes the address of your organization on the delivery address on the PO.

The delivery address of the purchase order is you, where you want it delivered, which is driven by the site/warehouse on the header. If you are trying to define by the vendor selection which one of the depots you want to be supplied from then in reality you need different accounts or you need to let the vendor decide because ultimately it is not your decision, although arguably if you can see their stock and you choose higher delivery costs for a different service it is, but the AX PO is not build like that.

    Hi Steve,

This answers my question.  The delivery address selection is based on the population of the site and warehouse, which originally was not being done by the user who was creating the purchase order.

    Thanks and regards,

    Julie
