sql management studio its showing error - 18456

greetings,

I just moved my server to new domain.

When i check services all sql service running...but when i try to Open sql management studio its showing error - 18456.

server name same as in old domain.

Only domain is changed. can u pls. help..its very urgent

    If the computer that you are connecting from is in the old domain and you have used the same name for the computer in the new domain, then that is your problem.

    In the management studio you could type it like COMPUTER.DOMAIN\INSTANCE to connect to an instance in a different domain, like MySQLServer2014.mydomain.com\MSSQLSERVER (if using default instance name).

    You could also use IP address, which is more reliable, in case your Domain Name Server's records are messed up.

    You can better ask your question on a SQL server forum as this is in fact not related to Microsoft Dynamics AX.
