Silent GP 2013 install. Stuck trying to run GP Utilities silently?

Posted on by 215

I'm trying to setup a silent install of GP 2013 for my users so I don't have to manually install it on 150+ PC's. I've gotten all the way to the part of my setup where I have to run the GP Utilities, but I can't figure out how to run this silently. When I browse and click on it, the UAC box pops up asking to run it. But I can't figure out how to run it silently and include the Dynutils.set? I've attached a screenshot of the UAC pop-up I get.

This step has been OK for me, using AutoIt, setting the script to run as administrator, so that this UAC window doesn't get called.

I usually automate first run, where it runs the utility,  having sa sign in, clicking through ok, ok, and exiting, and then doing the first run of GP as admin -- this finishes extracting any lingering cnk files, and cleans up the .ini for us -- and then exits GP, where it's then ready for use by non-admin users.

If I am understanding correctly you want the ability to not have to log into Utilities manually? Can't say I know of a way unless you create a Macro to do this.

That doesn't make it do the update silently though.

Turn Off UAC(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows/turn-user-account-control-on-off#1TC=windows-7) in system and try again.
