Updating prices for released items in AX 2012 R3

Hi all

I need to update a few prices for released items in Axapta. When I open the item page, there are two fields I can update the price.

1) Purchase -> Prices -> Price
2) Manage costs -> Prices -> Price

Which of these should I choose? One of them? Both? And what is the difference?

    Hi Kasper12345,

    Can you tell what would be the goal for updating prices? Do you need to provide a new purchase or sales price or do you e.g. need to revaluate on-hand inventory?
    The fields you mentioned have the following impact.
    1) Purchase price. In case you don't have trade agreements, this price will be used on new purchase orders
    2) Cost price. In case you will create an inventory journal where you have an entry that will increase the on-hand quantity, then this field is used as default cost price for the journal line.
