We have several computers on the shop floor that multiple users use. In the past, using AX30, each user logged out of their AX session when done - leaving the computer logged in using a generic account. The next AX user would log into AX when they needed info from AX. These users have different roles - some are shop floor supervisors, some are line workers.

With AX2009, credentials are passed from the windows login. That means that users need to log all of the way out of windows before they can access AX using their userId. Is there anyway around this? Any suggestions to ease the pain of full logout/login?

What's the OS on the workstations? Some of them provide you with the option to run a specific programme under a different username (Run as...), other require additional software. Have a look at this thread:

it's simple right click on AX ion while pressing SHIFT Key then click on log on as a different user

then use credentials as appropriate.
