Invoice journal: preview original is a copy of the current version

Hi

We have a problem with our print management. When we want to print an original version of an invoice, then it prints out the invoice as it is now, and not as it was at the time it was created.

Forexampel in the last month we had 4 extra lines in our invoices, but these lines are removed from the report now. When we press "Preview original" button in the Custinvoice Journal, then it gives us the invoice without the 4 lines.

We want the copy to be a copy as the invoice is now, and the Original, to be as it was at the time it was created.

I'll be thanksful if someone can help.

The invoice is a report, that prints the data that is stored in a table.

I’m a bit lost, you edited a posted invoice and added more lines to the posted document ?

    Hi Nuno

We edited the "Form-notes" under Accounts Recieveable - Setup - Forms - Form notes, last month and created some invoices. And then we edited the field again in this month.

When we try to get the original version of the invoices from last month, it prints out the invoice with the new form-notes.

So what is the difference between original and copy?

    Hi Mahyar,

Unless you actually use Original/Copy in Print Management (to produce multiple copies of documents) I think the difference between Original and Copy when you do a reprint is only that AX puts 'Copy' in the title of the document! In any case, neither option will do what you describe.

If you want to reprint an invoice that looks exactly as it did when it was first produced, you'll have to save it into the Print Archive, and 'reprint' it from there:
