Dynamics AX 2009 update for TLS 1.2

I have Dynamics Ax 2009 installed on a Windows 2008 Server R2 server.

I would like to know, how do I get Dynamics Ax2009 configured for TLS 1.2.

Is this possible ?

Thanks Daniele for the advise.

When you say "general tab" do you mean "Application Object Server" tab ? As we do not have one named "General".

If yes, even in this tab we have no TLS 1.2 checkbox...

Any idea ?

Yes, it is possible to configure Dynamics Ax 2009 for TLS 1.2. Here are the steps:

Verify that your server supports TLS 1.2. To do this, open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols. Check if the TLS 1.2 protocol is listed.

Enable TLS 1.2 in Dynamics Ax 2009. To do this, open the Microsoft Dynamics AX Server Configuration Utility. Under the General tab, select the Use TLS 1.2 check box.

Restart the Microsoft Dynamics AX Object Server service for the changes to take effect.

Verify that TLS 1.2 is enabled in Dynamics Ax 2009. To do this, open the System Administration module and navigate to the System Parameters form. Under the General tab, check if the Use TLS 1.2 check box is selected.

Test the configuration by connecting to Dynamics Ax 2009 using a client that supports TLS 1.2, such as Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge.

Note that enabling TLS 1.2 in Dynamics Ax 2009 does not guarantee that all third-party components, such as web services, will work with TLS 1.2. You may need to contact your vendors or partners to verify that their systems support TLS 1.2 as well.
