Trying to do a simple if then else statement on an OB Marketing email, but I get a field exceeds 256 characters error. I'm now having to load all of my subject lines into a contact field and reference them from there - but surely there must be a way to override this error when using scripting in subject line?

Thanks Dengliang - but think you're missing the point.
I know it's the subject line that is causing the error, it's just 256 characters is very restrictive when you want to use scripting. For example it might contain effectively 3 subject lines based on a contact's profile e.g.
if x subject line 1 else if y subject line 2 else subject line 3

Hi,
In order to remove the error notification, you will need to resolve the error by finding the field that reported the error and limiting it to 256 characters or less.
In my testing, it was able to find the relevant fields very quickly based on the error notification.
