LookUp column Relationship mapping Quote > Quote Product

Hi,
 
My issue is about relationship data flow/inheritance between quote and quote products.
 
I've created two custom LookUp columns for contact and account on both the quote and quote products, and have mapped them on the OOB relationship of quote > quote products.
 
However, neither LookUp's are inherited when quote products are created on the quote.
 
My first thought was that opportunity/quote/order products records were created differently, but I have a third custom Choice column that maps correctly from quote > quote products.
 
I'm aware I could handle this with a plugin but would prefer so solve it with relationships, if possible, to enable more people to admin. 
 
Any ideas to what I'm missing?

    I just noticed that "Payment Terms" is not inherited.
     
    What was set was, embarrassingly, the default choice value of the column.
     
    None of the columns mapped on the OOB relationship are inherited when using the "Enhanced experience for adding products".
