Emailing in GP 2013 R2

I have been told that the emailing feature in GP 2013 R2 doesn't work.  We currently can't use this feature and being told by our Consultant that this version doesn't allow it.  Can someone confirm this OR tell me how we can get this working for us?  I'm certain this feature should work for us.

    Hi Richard,

it would be good if you could post a picture of the error message you get here..

As a general rule, working out of a Terminal Server / Citrix environment is not as straight forward as with a local GP client, especially when it involves 3rd party products or Office components.

    Hi Richard,

You kind of hijacked someone else's thread, you should really starts a separate thread for this and post the exact message you're getting. While it may be cryptic, it is entirely possible that seeing it will allow someone to be able to help you figure out what the issue is.

I cannot help specifically with the Word Templates Statements reports, as I have never used them or set them up for anyone (we have a product that replaces this functionality), but I am sure there are many people on this forum that have set these up and can hopefully help you.

Hi Victoria, I'm trying to reprint customer statements in a batch process. So we have the GP 2013R2 on a Terminal Server. On the TS, we have copies of Adobe Acrobat X Standard  and Adobe Distiller X. We completed doing the install of the word add-on for 2007 as that may have been an issue that we could not send. The error message is too cryptic to understand where the problem may be coming.

    Good morning,

We currently email statements, we use GP 2013 and Office 2013 32-bit. Initially when we started there were some issues, you need Adobe Professional, but as Victoria indicated there are different environments.

You would need to provide a little more information.

As a general statement - emailing certainly works in GP 2013 R2. Emailing worked as far back as GP 2010.

However, there is no one answer as to how to get it working for you, because there are different environments, different email clients, different needs as far as what you want emailed, etc. If you can give us more detail about what you are looking to email and why specifically your consultant is telling you it won't work, it would be easier to address your questions.

I'd like to know as well. When I print a statement, I can send it from the screen there but when I try to do the statements in a batch, I get a message saying "There were sending errors" and PDF not created. Using Outlook 32 bit, 2013R2 Dynamics GP
