Work center Cost

Hello Experts,

How these fields impact production cost / work center cost? The fields are Direct Unit Cost, Indirect Cost, Overhead Rate, Unit Cost, Specific Unit Cost in the Work center card.

It would be great help if there is any sample calculations using these fields.

Hi,

By using the above fields, system calculate the cost of FG material according to the RM purchase, SFG cost and also the process cost. And the process cost is your work center and machine center. It is loaded at the time of finishing the Production Order. For more clarity. pls refer the below link.

Routings use work centers. You define the time to produce your item in a routing. You attach the routing to an item.

You can record the actual time used or when you output the quantity of the produce item, the system will take the routing time and multiply it by the unit cost to calculate your finished item cost.

Overhead cost, direct unit cost and indirect costs can be directed to different general ledger accounts as offset to the increase in finished goods cost.
