    Hi Abdul,

In G/L Account there is field called as 'Direct Posting'. Kindly untick this field so nobody can do direct posting on this G/L Account

    Hi Abdul,

Search for Chart of Accounts, open needed G/L Account Card and set Blocked true. It will block posting both Direct and Indirect (via objects such as Fixed Asset, Vendor, Customer...):

    Hi All,

The requirement is not to block posting to it. But to block certain users, not all users.

Its a kind of user permissions.

    Hi

If you required user wise blocking of G/L Account then you need to customize the same.

    Hi Amol,

Thank you. This is what exactly I need. Some users needs prevent posting to certain G/L accounts.

OMG, now, for the customization, where I will approach.

    Abdul.

you could work with security filters.

As jonathan said you can use the security filters. Following are the links on how to use security filters :
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh166853(v=nav.70).aspx

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh165856(v=nav.70).aspx

(Don't straightway jump into modifications, always try for workarounds and if those are not feasible or objective cannot be achieved, then only go for a modification)

    Hi Tharanga/Jonathan,

This is the one I am looking for. So, I will use that security filters to give permission only for certain gl accounts.

    Thanks alot.

    Abdul
