Hi,
We are searching ways for repackaging containers into pallets after packing screen. This needs to be manual process, rather than a planned packing structure. I have tested the scenario using "Pack to nested license plates", but I received the "Cannot pack from parent license plate... A packing structure has not been created for the license plate" error message.
Any idea/link describing how to hand manually putting containers into pallets after packing before shipment?
Thanks

Hi Arslan,
do you know if I can setup a second level without enabling the Create work to move...?
I mean is it possible to do that without an additional work creation?
Thanks

gracias me funciono muy bien!
It has been a customization to manually pack containers in another container as it is done during the automatic process.

Hi Thomas,
Is this a standard function or some sort of customization. Can you give some more detail please?
Thanks
Hello Arslan,
thanks for the hint- however we decided to implement a second level containization which allows to manually pack containers into "mother containers".
Best regards
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
I needed a manual 2nd level packaging. So we have used the "container group license plate Id" functionality. Because we needed additional one level, that worked. You need to
***Container Packing Policy
- Enable Container Release Policy = Create work to move...
- Assign a work template
*** When you close the container
- System will ask for container group LP Id
- You can edit this assignment later also manually. (from containers form) (Before releasing the container)
*** Move group LP Id:
- Container (or shipment) should be released
- With release, a work will be created to move "container group license plate Id" to move from PACK to SHIP location.
- You can use a mobile menu item to pick/put to SHIP location.(scan "container group license plate Id" and that moves all LPs in that container group)
*** Complete shipment and print packing slip...
That is generally how it works.
I hope it works in your scenario.

Hello Arslan,
I have the same problem: boxes (containers) should be packed into pallets after the containerization manually. However, as far as I found out,
- manual packing only allows one- stage containization (e.g. PCS into Boxes)
- automatic packing allows two- stage or more- stage containerization (e.g. PCS into boxes and boxes into pallets).
I have set up the automatic containerization process using a wave template with two containerization methods and having conversion values between PCS, boxes and pallets based on the unit sequence group. This works fine, but does not allow changes during container creation.
Please let me know if you find out how to handle it (without programming).
Thanks, best regards
Thomas
