Suggest Lines # Bank Reconcillation

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

Hi,

When our Accountant did the Bank reconciliation in NAV , the Suggest line command is not showing the Entries for Bank charges posted through Journal. I can see the balance for the Bank Account Card and GL Account are different which means that the posted didnt show any change in the Bank Account card Balance but did change the GL Account Balance. Is this because something is missing when posting the Journal or the setup of Bank Account Card.

Appreciate your Help,

Thanks,

Can you just navigate the Bank charges journal entries (Document No. wise) and see if Bank account ledger entries have been created for the Bank charges?

    Hi Aron,

Have you checked the general ledger entries? Is Bank Account selected in the entries?

Can you attached screenshot for the same here?

    Hi,

Check "Bal. Account Type" & "Bal. Account No.".. Document No. seems different for both the lines.

Do not filter by G/L Account No., Instead filter by Document No. and provide the details.

Bal. Account No. is blank and  Bal. Account Type is G/L Account.

Navigate the entries by "Document No."...

As you can see, "Bal. Account Type" & "Bal. Account No.". number is blank. This mean, user has posted the entries without selecting the bank account in the journal.

You can reverse these entries and ask your finance team to pass the right entry, by selecting the bank account number in the journal.

    Hope this helps.
