Where to find installers to update Dynamics 8.2 -> 9.0 -> 9.1??

Hello

I am not able to find the needed installers to update a Dynamics 365 8.2 on-premise environment to version 9.0 and finally to 9.1 on-premise.

None of the Microsoft pages are pointing to a download page where I can download the corresponding installers.

Does an update exist at all which updates 8.2 -> 9.0 -> 9.1 onprem or do I have to use the full installer and install version 9.0 as new environment?!

I am quite lost here and I need some advice urgently.

Any help is highly appreciated

    Hello,

    The right way would be as described under.

    1. Patch your 8.2 version to the latest 8.2 patch.
    2. Install a new instance / server with version 9.0 and the latest patch for 9.0.
    3. Export/Import the MSCRM database onto the new 9.0 SQL-server.
    4. Import the 8.2 Organization with Deployment Manager. That way it will be upgraded to version 9.0.
    5. Patch the server with the latest 9.1 patch to upgrade it to the latest version available.

    So this means there is no way to upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0 without installing a new instance of dyanamics? Then the documentation on Microsoft's page is wrong when they state "upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0".

    So then I will ask for a fresh install of version 9.0

    As you can see in my post I already know where to find these cumulative updates.

    This was not the question since you cannot update dynamics to a new major version by using cumulative updates.

    Hi,

    My bad, there is no installer for now which will update to the latest version.

    and we need to export DB from SSMS not from deployment manager.

    Hope this helps!

    I think you can, but you need the full installation media, but Microsoft does not recommend in-place upgrade. If I where you I would do as suggested.
