Microsoft Dynamics® CRM 2015 - Use email template with an attachment

Hello,

 

We meet a technical difficulty in this case :

  1. Create an email from the subgrid of “Incident” entity
  2. CRM opens a create page for a new email
  3. We fill the fields of the email
  4. We save
  5. We click on “Insert a model”
  6. We choose a model which contains an attachment from the list
  7. CRM displays a message : “This model contains attachements. If you want attachments in your email, click Cancel, save the email, and re-apply the model. To continue without attachments, click OK”
  8. We want the attachment, so we click Cancel, we save the email and we reapply the model.
  9. CRM displays again the message of the step 7.

 

So, it’s impossible for us to apply the template with an attachment.

    We've been having the same issue, it looks it hasn't been solved as of April 4th 2016.

    There is a bug with template attachment in 2015 on this which is supposed to be fixed now. See if you have the Update 1 of 2015. That should solve the issue.

    Until then use the workaround given here by Helio:

    social.microsoft.com/.../no-attachments-are-sent-after-upgrade-to-crm-2015
