Grid Group by feature - Saved Views

Hello,

I have enabled the saved views feature so that I am able to save a view that has certain columns grouped by default. However, whenever I group the column to then try to save it as a view. The asterisk next to the view name is not appearing so that I am able to permanently save it. Any idea on what may be the issue? I tried it on another form and it worked but on this form it is not displaying the asterisk next to the view when grouping a column.

I suggest your clear all personalization on the form and try again.

    Hi Komi,

There is no personalization on the form. The asterisk that indicates a change has been made to view works for any other action (e.g. freezing/hiding/reordering columns  except for the Group by feature which does not cause the view to have an asterisk.

    Hi,

Click button save as, save with a new name, pin as default.

    Hi Ankit,

I know I can do that but the grouping wont be "saved". Every change stays permanently saved on a view when a change is detected (i.e. an asterisk is shown). Therefore, the issue here is why the form is not realizing (i.e. not showing an asterisk) that a change has been made when I group by a certain column on the grid.

    Hi Anthonymgy,

Okay, I got now. Could you please let us know the form name?

It is a new custom form I made

I just found out the issue was with the form style. Once I changed it from Auto to ListPage then the asterisk indicating a change was shown next to the view name once I performed column grouping.

However, a new issue I face is how do I automatically always apply the grouping behavior everytime the query is executed since the user can change a value on the form which triggers the datasource query to be executed which causes the grouping to be undone.
