Does the Bank Reconciliation tie to the GL balance?
Is there a report I can print to file with my bank statements?

Yes and yes. It will tie as long as your first reconciliation is tied to the GL. Depending on your situation, you may need to make an adjusting JE the first time you reconcile so your GL ties to the Checkbook balance. When you finish the reconciliation process, you get a number of reports that you can file with your statements.
