Cleaning of table Reqcalctasktrace

Hi!

I have a Dynamics AX 2012 (R3CU13) database with a lot of posts in the table Reqcalctasktrace. Is this a table that it´s okay to clean out old posts?

If so, should I preserve records that are a few months old or is it can I just clean out the whole table like this?

In SQL: DELETE Reqcalctasktrace

Or should I use some other method, not in SQL?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Johan ,

I haven't worked with this table but as per the recommendation given in below link , you can clean up this table by keeping few months of data. Look at the section "Clean Up data"

    Hi Sukrut,

I have already seen that post on LinkedIn, so my question is more regarding what method to use and if I need to keep any data in the table.

If you  want to keep data for some months then definitely  do not perform DELETE Reqcalctasktrace in SQL which will  make table empty .

    Hi Johan,

The ReqCalcTaskTrace table contains the timings for each step in the master scheduling process for each task. This is mainly used for tracing purposes, to find tasks that are slowing down the master scheduling process.

Also in that link, it describes:

"When not in production, you can have a more aggressive approach and delete all the data.

Also specific MRP temporary tables can be clean up: Reqcalctasktrace"
