Hi Ian. There is an option in the custom.Config file in services directory to use TCP port sharing. This will need the TCP port sharing service to be running. This article should help. msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd301437.aspx

Hello, for RTC is their a limited on the amount of different services? Or can you use the same ports for more than one?
I.e. We used to have ours pointed to 7046 for the live company & also 7046 for the test cmpany, now we are being told they have to be on different ports?
If you are using the Classic Client, no services are required. If you are running the Role Tailored Client (RTC), then the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server service is required. If you are using NAV Web Services, then the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Business Web Services service is required. If running the RTC you also have to make sure your CustomSettings.config file is configured appropriately in the Service folder if using the RTC.
