Hi,

Whether can we use production BOM in purchase and sales line like assembly BOM. I filled item number with production BOM in the purchase line and clicked on explode BOM. Error is displayed as item is not BOM.

One method: we can set assembly BOM for this Item and use this funtion, and use some methods to copy all production BOM to assembly BOM; when Certified the production BOM, auto copy production BOM to assembly BOM;

anthoer mehod is to develop function to explode production BOM

No the "Explode BOM" function is only for Assembly. Production BOM is part of the manufacturing process.
