Dears
I getting warning message in AX 2009 server Event log ,where two AOS are installed (first is 2009 SP1 Hotfix Rollup 6 (RU6) and 2nd is 2009 SP1 Hotfix Rollup 6 (RU8)) when connecting with client of kernel version 5.0.1500.3761.
Massage : "Object Server 01: Internal aocp revision mismatch. Axapta client from XXXX-PC (0.0.0.0) tried to attach with 5.0.1500.3761 revision of kernel ".
How to install two AX 2009 Clients with different Kernel versions on same terminal machine ?

its is not possible to install two Dynamics AX 2009 client on same machine
Test it with the right version of client to see whether it works or not. It's nothing I can do for you.
HI again Martin , while posting Packing slip on user connecting to terminal client ,and clicking ok button the system doesn't respond to post ,Is that because of mismatch between client and AOS version ? I did not open new thread for this issue because I think it has direct relation to this thread.
Which registry key contains a path to AX client? I can't remember any.
If you provide a configuration in a file, it's used instead of the default configuration in registry. It doesn't change the default configuration (although it can be done as well). Please go and try it by yourself.
Thank you for replaying , Martin consider that windows registry configuration point to specific folder path (ie. RU8) ,if I passed .axc as parameter in properties of ax32.exe for RU6 would it replace the existing windows configuration from registry?
You said "when I start RU6 (AX.exe) the path will point to missing configuration in windows registry". But it doesn't makes sense. It will try to use the default configuration in Windows registry and it surely exist.
But you definitely DON'T want to use the same configuration for both clients, therefore provide a configuration as a parameter (.axc file) when calling ax32.exe. Is it already clear enough?
HI
I'm still confused because after coping the RU6 then uninstall it, and installing RU8 when I start RU6 (AX.exe) the path will point to missing configuration in windows registry and will gives a message that configuration is missing , (Already tried this ).. so do I need to edit new path in windows registry to point to RU6 .exe ?
Thank you .
Hi Becatcho,
Indeed there will be one AX client in the Windows registry. You need to make shortcuts inclusing which starts the AX client from one of the folders with a certain client configuration file (*.acx). This is what also Martin intended to tell.
How this will work ,only one Dynamics client configuration exist in windows registry ?
Copying the folder works well, but you may need to change the way how you're starting AX - you have to explicitly point to ax32.exe in the right folder.
