Is it possible to send email from CRM using a shared exchange mailbox thay doesn't have a D365 license?
We are trying to send out email from CRM but we don't want them to be coming from an individual instead a shared mailbox.
Hi,
yes it is possible to use shared mailbox.
please check below link:
https://nishantrana.me/2017/07/26/using-shared-mailbox-and-queue-in-crm-for-implementing-generic-email-address-in-dynamics-365-and-exchange-online/
I have already done that but getting the following errors.
Email Server Error Code: UnknownOutgoingEmailIntegrationError
Both Outgoing and Incoming server are set to: Server-Side Synchronization
Can you provide alert message for the respective mail box?
also can you tell me how much emails on an average you are sending ? as well as tracking using the shared mailbox?
Thank you,
Amit Katariya
Hi @VANTAGE,
Please take a look at these links:

Hi Vantage,
If you try to configure a Queue with incoming email address as email of an Office 365 Group/team, then you'll not be able to test and enable the Mailbox and might get following error.
Try creating a shared mailbox instead of group and configure that as incoming email of a Queue in CRM.
Thanks,
Ketan
Distribution lists cannot be mailbox-enabled.If it's a shared mailbox, you can mailbox-enable it.
