We are integrating CRM Online with SharePoint. Although we are confident we have the essentials covered for the integration, any particular challenges that anyone has faced that we should try to cater to? Thanks!

Create a SharePoint folder for each record without going to each record and click the related entities then document management.

If your SharePoint is not available on internet, the documents cannot be accessed from CRM, while accessing offsite.

Being On-Prem doesn't mean not connected to the internet. I am getting a feeling that we can still have a hybrid integration with CRM Online and SharePoint On Prem

Yes, for sure. I dint mention On Prem cannot be accessed from Internet, but some companies restrict their sharepoint to be accessed from intranet only. I was talking about this scenario

While the core setup might seem straightforward, there are a few things to keep in mind that can help you avoid future headaches:
Security Permissions: Permissions can get tricky, especially when managing access across two platforms (Dynamics 365 CRM and SharePoint). It's important to have a clear plan for how user roles in CRM will translate to SharePoint access.

Speaking of which, have you considered SharePoint Security Sync? It's a third-party integration for your CRM available on the Microsoft AppSource or Official Site.

Take a look at this blog that explores various concerns about storing data with SharePoint Integrations and how the features of SharePoint Security Sync can assist you.

    Thanks,
