Im trying to follow this guide - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/marketing-fields#cascading-form-fields and I have 2 custom form fields which are both drop downs but yet I am not presented with the field attributes section that the guide mentions?

How do i enable this? I have full admin access.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

    According to the documentation:

    pastedimage1644991203770v3.png

    1. The type of the parent field can only be two multiselect options or option set (radio button).

    2. The type of the child field can only be option set.

For example, I have two fields.

    • Checkbox - Two Options
    • Gender - Option set (radio button)

If you filter the Gender options according to the selection of Checkbox, it can be shown and set normally.

The reverse cannot be done however.

There is no Field attributes on the Properties pane of the field "Checkbox".

I did exactly as instructed on that guide and it was to no avail. In my independant investigations I found out it only functions as Parent Child options when used in conjunction with Contact Fields or Lead Fields, not fields that have been added to the form as Marketing Form fields and are unmapped from a contact/lead. Not sure if its a feature or bug.

This feature currently isn't supported in our product, but it is a good idea.

Cascading form fields can be used only along with contact/lead mapped fields.

I think this should be posted on our ideas site.

    Thanks
