Hi All,

In, Dynamics 365 Finance, I have a scenario where I want to reserve the "On Hand" Inventory customer wise and instead of sales order.

The reserved quantity should not show on On Hand inventory quantity.

It should not be used for any other orders.

There is no upfront way of reserving inventory for a specific customer; the item has to be reserved on a document (sales order or inventory journal).

What you could do is use an Inventory Status and always use it for a customer, configured so that it (inventory status) is defaulted on Sales Lines from the customer. Isolate the inventory that you want to reserve to customers using their specific inventory status so that they will not be reserved and picked on other sales orders.

In the on-hand, the inventory would display as available physical until reserved by a Sales Order, but still would not be usable on other customers' sales order.
