Hi All

In dynamics 365 I need to create a field called Date Period but this will only show the year and the month .(YYYYDD)202106

In dynamics 365 it only allows me to set up a date data  type not sure where and  how I can change this to show in that format without using the date picker

202106

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

You can't set that kind of format for a particular field if you use date type.

The easiest way for you I believe to use just a string and add the validation or create an optionset field with values you plan to use or create a custom entity and use it entering the YYYYDD value to the string label available in the form of that custom entity.
