Hello folks,
In case where I have a company where there is no P&L transactions only BS and I want to close the year.
There is nothing happening.
Does the system really require transactions in P&L in order to roll forward balance sheet accounts ?
Or is there a parameter that impact this behavior?
thanks
Hello Veronika,
I assume that you refer especially to the opening balance transactions that are created on the first day of the following year that you would like to have the system posted. Is that right?
Well, in general even if you have only BS transactions recorded you should get those opening transactions created.
I double checked that in an old AX2012 R3 system where things worked fine.
Do you get an error message or something alike?
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Veronika Filonenko,
There is no specific parameter to control that but can you please make sure you are all done with all prerequisite steps:
1.
docs.microsoft.com/.../year-end-close
2.
docs.microsoft.com/.../close-fiscal-year
Hope it helps, please keep us posted.
Hi Ludwig,
No, no errors. Just the system does nothing. But to do a quick test, we entered a P&L transaction and the closing worked.
I also always assumed that I would at list get the BS accounts rolled over, never had to test this before.
And wanted to know if this was working in previous versions.
So this looks like a bug on our side. We will open a ticket.
Thanks
