Generating Purchase Order Flat file to SFTP

Posted on by 10

Hi All,

I'm currently facing the problem, that I have to automatically "send a purchase order " when it is posted. This means, when posting a certain purchase order automatically a file (XML or Flat file txt) should be generated on an ftp server folder.

What is the Best approach for Business Central development (Customization\ Custom Development),  please suggest.

It appears there is no direct solution for BC SaaS, so you might want to do it through an Azure function. You can check this link for more info in regards to this specific issue: github.com/.../3478

Here you have an example on how to integrate from AL to Azure functions: vjeko.com/invoking-azure-functions-al

    Bye!

I guess it depends. Where do you want to send it to? I assume to the vendor related to the purchase order? If so, is it your own SFTP server or the vendor's server? What BC version are you using, SaaS or OnPremise?

    Best regards,
