Add note of prospect as a column in ListPageGrid

H ieveryone,

Is this possible. to add the field Note from Prospect directly into the List page grid? we would like a fast description right in front. if possible by simple personalization

Yes you can add a new column in the grid.

Try to ask a developer to do it

Hi Mohamed,

Thanks for fast response. I hoped it could be done by personalization. I tried also adding it by AOT directly on the listPage grid but nothing appears in the User Interface. You know why?

Hi @CBNestor,

Check if the field is set to visible on the table.
It could also be set to visible = no on the data source of the form.
Also check the properties of the grid, is the datagroup option specified? Clear that field if so, or add your field to that data group on the table.
You should also check if the configuration key for that field is enabled. Also, if the countryRegionCodes property is set to a certain country, it will not be visible if your company is from a different country.
Also, try recompiling and restoring the form before you run it.

Hi BCNestor,

Having a multiline control on a grid is not recommended. It wil make the grid have less records visible as each row will have a height of about 5 lines. I would recommend having the information in a fact box on the right side of the screen or below the grid.

Hi Mohamed,

The Grid is not setup as from Table's group. No configurationKey setup for this item. The field is visible and is was properly compiled and saved still the don't appear in the column line in the user interface.

Hi André,

Appreciate the feedback. I have succesfully added to the Preview pane below the grid and is working fine. I still would like to know why I cannot get this field to be shown in the column in the listPage.

Still your suggestion is a good alternative. Thank you.

Hi CBNestor,

I don't have access to an AX 2012 environment to check the personalization options for grid controls. If the field is visible on another place, then it might be a limitation in Dynamics AX 2012.
