We would like to include the attached documents with the Journal Entry email notifications for workflow approvals. Is there a way to configure this action in GP2018?

I do not see the 'Include Document Attachment documents' checkbox/functionality added to the Financial workflows for 'GL account approval' or 'GL batch approval', as you do on some of the sales and purchasing workflows. I assume you meant the 'GL Batch' approval as there is not any named with "Journal entry' specifically. In the new feature blog below for GP 2015 R2, there is not Financial workflows listed so it does not appear to be available to include attachments on the emails for either Financial workflows:

I tested adding a document both to a GL batch and a transaction in the batch and submitted it for approval. The email did not contain any attachment, but the attachments is still in-tact on the batch/transaction if the approver wishes to open the batch in GL and view it.

Thank you for submitting your question on the Forums. Yes, this should be possible in GP18. First thing to check is that you have Allow Document Attachments marked in the setup window and Send Attachments in email. Under: Administration >> Setup >> Company >> Document Attachment Setup
However, I do see there was a quality issue around this functionality. Can you confirm the exact version of GP you are currently on? (Under: Help>>About Microsoft Dynamics GP)
