    Hi navBlogs,

As above said, you need to download the full virtual machine (VHD) from LCS that it contains Visual Studio but also the entire D365FO system.

    Here is the steps:

    community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-download-a-dynamics-365-finance-and-operations-onebox-virtual-machine

If you only need to write code without build and run the code, you can do it without the VM.

Everyone has given you suggestions about VM so , i wont repeat how to get the VM. Once you have VM , you can use below link  to set up Azure dev ops  and LCS connection and then set up your VM workspace for development

    Hi Manojkumar,

As mentioned by others above, you need to download the new Developer VM. You need to have AOS installed which is connected to Visual Studio for development. We do not get a separate AOS installer anymore so the only way to get the developer VM is to either download VHD file from LCS or deploy a new VM on Azure cloud using LCS. You need to use DevOps, check-in the code from the development environment. then generate the build using a Build environment and install the deployable package to UAT or Prod. This is the best practice.  You can generate the build directly from dev environment but it is absolutely not recemmended.

In addition to what Amith said, you can find some documentation regarding development VMs here -

there is Pre Built  Developer VM you can download from LCS Asset Library or you can deploy on Azure using LCS. Once you develop solution  you can build customizations as Package using Build VM and Azure DevOps  then you can deploy in to your Production environment using LCS.

    Thanks ,
