Connect tier 1 environment to power platform

Hi,

I was trying to connect my tier 1 dev environment to power platform for using dataverse. I don't think we can connect an existing environment to power platform but also I read that it is only possible to connect sandbox and production environments to power platform. Can you please let me know how and if we can connect the dev env to power platform.

Thanks!
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Dev,

It is possible to connect a tier 1 environment to the Power Platform, but only when you deploy a new F&O environment. As you mentioned, it is not possible to link an existing environment to the Power Platform. If you create a new environment, ensure you have enough Dataverse capacity preventing having the Power Platform environment disabled.

    Hi Dev,

As André said, it's possible when you deploy a new environment.

While you deploy a new environment, you'll reach a dialog where you choose the VM size. On this dialog there will be a button called Advanced settings, if you click on it, you'll see power platform integration where you can enable it.

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

    Thanks Andre and Layan.
Where can we check the Dataverse capacity for connecting to the Power Platform environment.
Also, I see the option to connect to power platform as you said Layan. Just curious what does environment type depict here and what are there purpose. Is it converting the tier 1 dev to a sandbox :P

    Thanks!

    Hi Dev,

You can view the capacity on the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC). https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/
