Is there a way to find out what PO is associated to a Journal Entry?

Yes you can. Goto Inquiry-->Financial --> Journal Entry No. Enter your JRN No and click on Source Document that will take it to Actual PO - Receiving Transaction (or Invoice) and you can get agains which PO receipt and Invoice is generated.
