How to create a Form Field to a field on a Custom Entity?

Lets say we have a custom entity in Dynamics called PROJECT

On Project we have a field called Project ID

In marketing - on a marketing form we want the customer to fill out their Project ID - or better: Lookup their Project ID 

Currently when creating Form Fields, the only mapping options are Leads and Contacts. 

My question is this: How can we incoorporate custom entity fields in Dynamics Marketing Forms ?

    Hi Thomas,

    Have you took a look to the new "Do not create/update contacts or leads" feature:

    However, in my environment, somehow only optionset field of the custom entity can be used for form field.

    You could check whether the situation is same to your environment first.

    Hi there,

    You can actually use the feature mentioned by Clofly and create a workflow to update that Custom Entity.

    The rest of the fields will work as well as option sets (therefore will nothing will be updated in Contacts/Leads), as long as No Update is selected for the Form. So, you can choose any field under Contact/Lead, use it in your form and it will not update/create new Contact or Lead. The form submission entity will be created, and you can then add a workflow or a Flow to take various actions.

    Contact/Leads fields is not what i am looking for. We would like to populate fields on a custom entity other than contact/lead.

    The form should contain fields from custom entity "project" and map data to this custom entity on submisson.

    Hi Thomas,

    You could try Entity Form to collect submissions of the custom entity:

    https://softchief.com/2020/03/03/create-record-using-entity-form-in-dynamics-365-portal/

    Nevertheless, submission from entity form will only create/update custom entity record and won't be associated with insights interaction data.
